Soneium, an Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain developed by Sony Block Solutions Labs, has partnered with Plume, a Layer-2 focused on Real World Asset Finance (RWAfi), to offer users on-chain access to tokenized US Treasuries and private credit yields via Plume's interoperability layer, SkyLink. This collaboration connects more than 5.1 million users within Soneium's ecosystem to asset-backed yield products, supported by a $4 billion real-world asset distributor network including Ondo Finance. Plume's CEO emphasized the importance of cross-chain real-yield flow, and both companies see this partnership as a strategic step toward mainstream adoption of real-world asset finance. Plume hosts over 180 projects, providing a robust platform for tokenization and financial infrastructure. Meanwhile, Soneium, built on Optimism's OP Stack, recently surpassed $155 million in total value locked and has formed multiple strategic partnerships to expand its ecosystem. Together, they aim to bridge decentralized finance with tangible real-world assets, increasing liquidity and accessibility for users.
